New Gemstone Necklaces

Having fun with some colorful stones!

Carnelian Gemstone Necklace in Sterling Silver
Nicely set carnelian round pendant with various gemstones, including turquoise, citrine, tourmaline, garnet, peridot, iolite, lapis lazuli, moonstone, and of course - sterling silver!
Handmade Shell Aroma Bottle Necklace with Red Coral, Turquoise, Agate

The center piece of this colorful pendant is a little vintage perfume bottle, made out of shell and brass. Vintage "old new stock".
This is a long and bold necklace. I used agate, coral, shell heishis, turquoise, ceramic raku beads, freshwater pearls, amber, agate, lazurite with warm copper and brass accents.
Handmade Iolite Sterling Silver Necklace with Peridot, Garnet, Moonstone
This delicate necklace has three jean colored iolite petal shaped stones in the center, surrounded with some brightly colored stones - peridot, garnet, flashy moonstone, sapphire, iolite. Looks so lovely in the sunshine!

Handmade Sterling Silver Blue Lace Agate Necklace with Tourmaline, Moonstone
This one is one of my favorite - turned out to be very elegant.
Blue lace agate slab is wrapped with sterling silver wire. Necklace include agate, green and brown tourmaline, rock crystal, smoky quartz,  moonstone. All suspended on nice and bold sterling silver chain.

Hand dyed felted scarf - extra fine wool and silk

Extra fine wool and silk hand dyed wet felted scarf
I had so much fun creating this light weight scarf. First I laid out and felted extra fine merino and silk fibers, silk hankies to at organically shaped small scarf.

Then - the fun part - dying!  Taking the scarf from the dye pot is always a surprising and
the most exciting moment!

I used some plant material for "printing" - love it!

This is a perfect summer scarf - thin and light. Perfect for wrapping your shoulders on a chilly evening or just for adding a splash of color to your outfit. Fine wool and silk wears surprisingly well during summer!

Rainbow of Hand Dyed Wool Locks

Hand dyed Border Leicester fleece that I washed and dyed yesterday - still wet.
It took dye so beautifully. Not sure yet what I will do with it - wet felt with it? tail spin? add to an art batt?

Bobbin full of cashmere

Is there more

Hand Spun Art Yarn - Natual Brown Lock Spun Merino with Gradient Silk

I spun this skein directly from soft natural colored merino locks and plied it with some gradient dyed silk that I made some time before. Merino locks come from a beautiful chocolate colored merino fleece that I purchased a few months ago. I gently washed it, and took only the softest, cleanest locks to spin without carding them first.

.

Love these soft sun bleached tips that pop here and there in this yarn!

Silk that I used for plying change from golden beige color to turquoise, then to brown with nice and long sections of each. This yarn works great for plying, shiny, strong, and soft!

This will knit up to something colorful and textural - love!

Felted Wraps

I made these over sized scarfs using silk fabric and extra fine merino wool fiber (18,5 micron).
Light, soft, and easy to wear.
